A woman's biggest inspiration often comes from another woman in her life -- her mother, sister, friend or peer. In its ongoing efforts to empower women and eliminate racism, the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester will host its eighth annual “In the Company of Women” luncheon. For over seven years, this event has attracted over 550 women and men from across the greater Westchester community. Attendees have the opportunity to meet other important women who make a difference in Westchester County, gain insight and inspiration from the keynote speaker, and most importantly, to help to fulfill the YWCA’s mission of empowering women and eliminating racism through their involvement and personal generosity.

The schedule for this year's event will be as follows:

10:00 am: Presentations begin
  • At 10:00am hear from Kitt Shapiro, daughter of legendary entertainer, Eartha Kitt.

11:00 am: Registration, Networking & Women’s Marketplace
12:30 pm: Luncheon, Program & Keynote
Persimmon Plaza shopping throughout and until 3:00 pm

Advocacy and recognition are the cornerstones of the YWCA. With more than 8,000 participants here in White Plains and over 2 million participants nationwide, the YWCA is where women turn. We are the voice for women and speak out and take action on racial and social justice, economic empowerment and opportunities for women and girls. The YWCA also brings people together to network and celebrate people who help us advance our mission. Visit our site.
